When I had high hopes that today may be a better day. I didn’t want to push myself but thought that maybe I could get through the day without having to take Tylenol 3s for my sciatica. I didn’t do much just some walking around the house but again spent a majority of my day lying on my side on the couch. Well I was pretty good until about 8:30when the leg pain started up again! About 9:00PM I had to pop a couple of Tylenol 3s to get the pain back under control.

I really don’t want to be negative about this but it is getting difficult! Everytime I think that something is going to change the pain comes back. I just wish this would end soon. Hopefully the spine specialist I am going to see at the end of the month has an answer!

I hate the way this problem has stolen my life. I can’t do much work, can’t play with my kids or do anything other than lie around all day and try to keep the pain from coming back!

If Brazil get’s knocked out of the U20 World Cup Round of 16 by Spain tonight it will be their own fault.

Their keeper made the critical mistake of taking too much time in setting up his wall, he assumed that the Spanish would wait and have the 10 yd distance enforced. Smart thinking on behalf of the Spanish by taking the shot and catching the Brazilians off guard. If the ref is ready there is nothing in the rules that say you have to wait for the other team.

That goal tied the game up, Spain scored in the first extra time to take the lead and the Brazilians are less than 15 minutes away from being eliminated from the tournament

Laptop Rebuild

Just started rebuilding my Asus Z62FM Laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate. I started rnning into wireless problems and screwed things a little more when I tried to fix things. With my back problems I have been using that macine to remote control my main desktop.

Probably a good thing that I am rebuilding it. When I first imaged it with Vista in December, not all of the Vista drivers had been released so I managed to scrape things together with XP drivers. This time it will be a clean Vista install. One nce thing about Vista is that a clean image installation is very quick.

Being a former goalkeeper myself, I love watching the young keepers in the U20 World Cup, especially their reactions when a shot gets through.

After thet make a big save (or if a goal gets by) they immediately call their defenders to task, as a goalkeeper should. Some get quite animated!

I always tell young goalkeepers that I am training, that if a goal gets by them, it is never their fault (unless they screw up or miss giving out a defensive assignment) as the ball has to get through the rest of the team before it gets to them. They are the generals out there as they hace the best view of the pitch and are responsible for controlling their defense!

The only advantage that I can find from having a bad back that I am sufferring with now is that I can lie on the couch all day and watch the U20 World Cup! Soccer all day! Go Canada Go!

iPhone Hype New Curve coming

With all the iPhone hype and the fact that it is not available in Canada, I just bought a new Blackberry Curve from eBay! SWIMBO needed a new phone as her older motorola is not charging any more so I gave her my Nokia E62 yesterday. She is not overly fond of that phone, and I wanted a Curve (same as Pearl but full Qwerty keyboard and spell check) but since I recently upgraded to the Pearl (which is one of the best phones I have used) I do not qualify for anohter Rogers upgrade. The Curve was the same price on eBay as what Rogers would have charged me for her upgrade so I bought it there, and will swap her my Pearl. Going Crazy! Ram Upgrade

I am going crazy here trying to figure out a Ram upgrade!. Upgrading from 2 GB to 4 on my Intel Vista Ultimate Machine. All Ram tests fine and runs great when in pairs in the machine. When running 4 GB I get periodic lock ups and 100% CPU usage! Not sure if it becuase I am using Dual and Single Sided together. Keep swapping pairs to find out. Check back soon for final results.

Well Breanna had x-rays done and there is no break in her arm. What a relief! She wasn’t all that bad today and actually went to the pool for a short workout, she didn’t use her arms though and swum with a flutter board. Looks like she just sprained herself!
